Cast wire

Some alloys, such as cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloys, cannot be forged, rolled, or drawn, but made by casting. It is mainly used for manual surfacing of the workpiece surface to meet special performance requirements such as oxidation resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. With continuous casting and liquid extrusion, cobalt-chromium-tungsten wire of several meters can be produced for automatic wire-filled tungsten gas shielded arc welding to increase welding efficiency and build-up quality, while improving working conditions. Cast iron repair welding sometimes uses cast wire.
