The generation of pores and inclusions in the welds is mainly caused by improper rooting, in addition to process reasons

The generation of pores and inclusions in the welds is mainly caused by improper rooting, in addition to process reasons. If the carbon rod is not positioned correctly during clearing, the shape of the groove will be poor, resulting in that the gas and molten slag inside the molten pool do not float easily, resulting in the generation of pores and inclusions in the weld. When the weld advance amount is too large, the molten pool is squatting and the slag is easily wrapped in the bottom of the groove. If the arc heat is insufficient to melt the slag, the pores and slag will be generated inside the molten pool. Therefore, adjusting the position of the carbon rod, carefully cleaning the gouging groove, and selecting the appropriate weld advance amount are the main measures for solving the pore and slag inclusion in the weld.

Previous: cracks mainly exist in the craters of the ring joints. From the shape analysis Next: Poor surface formation of the weld is mainly manifested in two aspects: the surface of the weld seam is too high and the weld metal overflows
